Pupil Premium

Please read the information below which gives details of our Pupil Premium Grant and how we allocate the funding.

Pupil Premium
The pupil premium is additional funding for publicly funded schools in England to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils and close the gap between them and their peers. Schools receive funding for any child who has been in receipt of free school meals in the last 6 years, are in local authority care or who have been adopted from care.

Galley Hill Primary School and Nursery adopts a number of strategies and provides a range of opportunities to develop links with home, build aspiration, accelerate progress and therefore raise attainment of disadvantaged children. These include specialist tuition and an enriching curriculum along with their peers. There is careful provision mapping for children eligible for the pupil premium grant (PPG). Our strategy for the spending of our pupil premium grant in 2024-25 can be found here.
