Wellbeing & Mental Health
We are delighted that Galley Hill has been awarded the Healthy Young Minds in Herts Accreditation for Emotional Wellbeing and Mental Health Awareness, acknowledging that we, as a school community, are fully committed to developing and supporting the mental health and wellbeing of our children, staff, parents and carers.
Looking after our mental health is just as important as looking after our physical health. At Galley Hill we understand how important it is to support the mental health and wellbeing of not only our children, but our wider school community.
Below are resources and ideas all relating to the '5 ways to wellbeing', including ways in which you can keep active, be mindful and connect with nature, friends and family, all of which can help support your mental health.
You can also find stories relating to anxiety and stress, a page for parents/carers, including our parent guide to supporting your child's mental health and wellbeing, and information on the importance of sleep.
"Feelings of wellbeing are fundamental to the overall health of an individual, enabling them to successfully overcome difficulties and achieve what they want out of life."
