Making our motorised vehicles (DT)
On Friday 13th December, Sapphire had a whole day dedicated to making their motorised vehicles. They had spent the previous DT lessons learning the skills needed and planning their final design draft in groups. The class got to saw and use a glue gun. They worked on their joining, adaptation and problem solving skills. Every group made an electronic circuit to make part of their vehicle move. For many, it was a fan to propel their vehicle forwards. However, they found the air resistance created was not enough to make it move with even double thickness cardboard wheels.
