Welcome back! I hope you all had a fabulous half-term!
Our word of the week this week is - Breath-taking - See if you can use it in your writing this week!
We are reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory in English with a focus on writing instructions. Today we focused on audience and purpose (Who they have been written for and why).
On Monday we had our science open afternoon! We focused on nocturnal animals, in particular, bats! We used our sense of hearing to establish where people were in the room. This is similar to the way bats use echolocation!

Today is National poetry day (03.10.2024)
We have written our own poems about how important our voices are!
We have also chosen a new class book: Quick let's get out of here!

In PSHE we have looked at knowing our trusted adults. We drew around our hands to label five adults we could talk to if we felt uncomfortable or in need of help/support. Our trusted adults are personal to us, and we will keep these in our trays to help remind us of who we can talk to. We chose a variety of people from adults at home, school and those in the world, such as Doctors or Police officers that could help.

In maths this week we have been looking at comparing numbers. We played a board game looking at comparing numbers up to 10,000.
