Forces Experiments November 2024

This half term, Year 5 are carrying out their own science investigations that investigate the various forces they are learning about. We used Newton meters to test gravity. We investigated whether the size of a parachute affected the amount of air resistance created (reducing the time taken for the parachute to land) (see photographs below). In the next few weeks, we will be learning about and investigating Friction and Water Resistance as well as visiting Laurete Academy for a science lesson there.
