Hi Nursery!

Our Topic this half term will be Ourselves and our Senses. 

This week we will be beginning to learn about our new core book - Brown Bear Brown Bear What can you see?

Things going on this week! 

On Monday, it is our Science Afternoon, and we will be focussing on Hedgehogs. We will be thinking about what the word nocturnal means.  We will be using this story as an introduction.  The Very Helpful Hedgehog we will also be thinking about their fantastic hearing and playing out own listening game. 

Parents are invited to come at 2.45pm via the office to see what we have been up to too.  (Even though it is called Science Afternoon, in the nursery, we will be learning about hedgehogs all day.  

On Tuesday, we will be going on a looking hunt around the school, using the story to help us.  

On Wednesday, we will be going into the hall for PE.  We will be learning to move around in our space.  We will be playing some games and using some music from Sticky Kids to help us. 

On Thursday and Friday we will be focussing on Maths.  We will be learning to make collections of things that are the same and different and talking about them.

Our Word of the Week is the word see.  We will be using this word in lots of different ways.  We will be learning that we use our eyes to see.  

Library will be on Monday.  Please ensure your child has their orange reading book and their library book so we can change it.
