This week has been Children’s Mental Health Week and we hope the children have enjoyed thinking about ways of keeping themselves mentally healthy. Both Mrs Reynolds and Mish, our Mental Health Practitioner, have led assemblies using this year’s theme ‘Know Yourself, Grow Yourself’.
This week, we also launched our REAL Play Leaders initiative with a day of training for our children in Year 5. The aim of this session is to encourage peer-led play and teamwork. We look forward to the children using their new skills on the playground at lunch time.
Communication
We strongly believe that communication between school and home is absolutely essential and we want to work in partnership with you all for the very best outcomes for your children. We always try to have staff available, including members of the school’s leadership team, before and after school for brief messages and conversations. Where needed, we are always happy to organise meetings with the most appropriate staff member or communicate on the telephone or via email. Please be aware however that staff are with the children for the very vast majority of their working day so may not always be available on the same day. We will endeavour to respond to emails and return phone calls within three school days. Thank you for your understanding.
