As a school, we believe that the partnership between us and you, as parents, is absolutely vital in ensuring the best progress for your children. For this reason, a week, such as this, where there has been so many opportunities for parents to come into school, is really important to us. Yesterday’s World Book Day event was a real success with so many of you coming to read with your children. It was a delight to see the queue snaking down the path and we are so grateful to all who joined us. Thanks also to those parents who attended the Year 3 and 4 times tables open morning on Wednesday. We really hope that you found this informative and enjoyed working with your child.
Parent Consultations
A reminder that next week there is the opportunity for you to meet with your child’s teacher at parent consultations taking place on Wednesday and Thursday (12th and 13th March). If you have not already made an appointment, please do so using the link on the email you have been sent or contact the school office who will be able to support you with this.
PE Kit
I would please remind all parents that if your child is wearing a tracksuit for their PE kit, this should be plain blue or black only. Many thanks for your support with this.
Sharing Assembly
Team Crystal will be presenting their learning in their sharing assembly next Thursday (13th March). This term, we will also have a sharing assembly from Team Sapphire on 20th March and Team Turquoise in 3rd April. All of these will be taking place at 9am.
Outdoor Play and Learning
We are constantly trying to develop our outdoor play offerings to encourage the children to develop a range of skills while playing during lunch time particularly. Thank you to all parents who continue to make contributions of toys, dressing up items, wheeled items etc to the school. We really do appreciate this.
Currently we would like to once again increase the number of cable reels, scaffold boards and pallets we have available to the children. They particularly enjoy building forts and obstacle courses with these items, along with the tyres. If anyone is able to support us in donations of these items, we would be extremely grateful. Thank you for your support.
