This week, the children in Year 3 visited Celtic Harmony to support their History learning about the Stone Age and Iron Age. Despite the weather, it appears that they all had a fantastic time and the children all represented the school extremely well. We do try to think carefully about extracurricular activities for our children to supplement their learning and are grateful to all of the staff for organising these opportunities.
Staff News
We are sure you will all wish to join us in saying a huge congratulations to Mrs Larner, who had confirmation this week that she has passed her National Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Co-ordinator Qualification. We are very proud of her achievement and are delighted that our SEND pupils are so well supported with three members of staff now holding this qualification.
Parents Evening
A reminder that parent consultations are taking place next week on Wednesday and Thursday. If you have not yet signed up for an appointment, please contact your child’s class teacher or the school office. We strongly encourage all parents to come and hear a little about what their child has been doing and what you can do at home to support.
Open Classrooms
Our next open classrooms event will take place on Monday 4th November from 3:15pm to 3:45pm. We hope to see lots of you there.

Phonics Open Morning
On Friday 25th October we will be holding a Phonics open morning for Reception and Year 1. Parents are invited to come in to school from 9am until 10am to come and join in with your child's phonics lesson. If you are able to come in then please sign in at the office at 9am. We hope to see lots of you.
Halloween Disco
Don't forget to get your tickets for the Halloween Disco! These are available on Arbor or by cash at the office. The disco is next Friday, 25th October. 4pm-5pm for Nursery/Reception and KS1, and 5.30pm-6.30pm for KS2. We will have a tuck shop and pocket money toys for sale so please bring a bit of money with you. Tickets must be purchased in advance, they will not be for sale on the door.
